We will not routinely contact you to discuss test results.
For results from a recent test:
Only the patient or a child’s parents will be given results over the phone.
Results can take up to 6 weeks to receive depending on the requestor. Most results go back to the person who requested them for example a consultant, a GP or Nurse. If requests are made by consult at a hospital the result generally are sent to them first. We will receive it by letter which takes about 4 to 6 weeks.
Some results require an appointment, video call or phone call with a health professional. Always check your result with the Surgery.
